The Twin Tones
The Twin Tones were a featured attraction with the Jan Garber Orchestra as it toured the nation during the latter 1940ís. Included in the popular "Twin Tones" quartet are Bob Parker and Betty Bligh at top, together with Doris Brian and Alan Copeland, the groupís founder/arranger/singer. Following the nationwide tour, Doris' sister, Gwen, replaced Betty during the Jan Garber Band's long engagement at Los Angeles' Biltmore Hotel. Alan went on to become a fixture with the famed "Modernaires" vocal group, emerging later as a Grammy Award winner for his choral-arranging efforts with ABC Records.
